Medalia Productions is a creative production company that produces feature films, documentaries, television shows and commercials. Our projects have garnered critical acclaim, earning us three Emmy nominations, a Peabody award, and countless awards and nominations in film festivals around the world. We collaborate with international organizations and companies, providing them with a variety of production services in the US, Europe, and Israel. Our projects have aired around the world on networks including HBO, MTV, BBC, AOL and Arte, and many more.

Peabody Award-winning filmmaker Hilla Medalia has received four Emmy® nominations.
Her projects have garnered critical acclaim and screened internationally in theaters and on television including HBO, MTV, BBC and ARTE.

MARIEL OSTROWER
Head Producer
Production manager, line and post producer with deep experience in the Israeli documentary industry. Mariel’s resume includes work on award winning documentaries such as ‘The Sound of Torture’ (2014), ‘Powder’ (2012), ‘Arab Movie’ (2015), Muhi – Generally Temporary (2017), The Oslo Diaries (2018), Transkids (2019), ‘Leftover Women’ (2019) and ‘Love & Stuff’ (2020) among others. She is Passionate about her work and has extensive knowledge in the many facets of documentary film making – from the early stages of idea development and pre-production to post production and distribution.
Mariel is also a writer and translator of film portfolios for festivals and funds submissions and a perpetuate student of anything craft and DIY.
TOM-LEE ZIEGELMAN
Head of Production
Tom-Lee Ziegelman is an Israeli filmmaker and producer. Graduate of The European Film College in Denmark, Tom-Lee received the Obel Family Scholarship and has a B.A. in Sociology, Anthropology and Israeli Cinema.
Tom-Lee has experience in both documentary and fiction producing, post-production, and restoration projects. Her resumé includes working as a personal assistant to renowned Israeli filmmaker Avi Nesher.
Her work as a filmmaker explores questions of home and belonging, language, and gender. Her debut short ״NARCISO,” was funded by the Odense Film Workshop and screened at both local and international film festivals.
Tom-Lee is a former circus clown and a current knitting wizard. In her free time she enjoys playing in a local women’s soccer team.
ROTEM HEYMAN
Production Manager
Rotem has been very passionate about documentary cinema from a young age.
After working as an event co-producer at Microsoft Israel, Rotem has decided she wants to take part in the Israeli documentary scene.
She worked in documentary distribution of various documentary films before joining the Medalia team.
Rotem is an ex-tour guide who enjoys exploring nature.
