Medalia Productions is a creative production company  that produces feature films, documentaries, television shows and commercials. Our projects have garnered critical acclaim, earning us three Emmy nominations, a Peabody award, and countless awards and nominations in film festivals around the world. We collaborate with international organizations and companies, providing them with a variety of production services in the US, Europe, and Israel. Our projects have aired around the world on networks including HBO, MTV, BBC, AOL and Arte, and many more.



Hilla Medalia is a Peabody Award-winning director, producer, writer, has received four Emmy award nominations. Her projects have garnered critical acclaim and screened internationally in theaters and on platforms including HBO, MTV, PBS, BBC and ARTE.

Hilla is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the PGA and she holds an M.A. from Southern Illinois University.


Head Producer

Producer and post producer with deep experience in the Israeli documentary industry. Mariel’s resume includes work on award winning documentaries She is Passionate about her work and has extensive knowledge in the many facets of documentary film making – from the early stages of idea development and pre-production to post production and distribution.

Mariel is also a writer and translator of film portfolios for festivals and funds submissions and a perpetuate student of anything craft and DIY.


Head of Production

Rotem Heyman is a producer, line producer, and post-producer experienced in the international film industry and specializing in documentary filmmaking.
Throughout the past years, she worked at Medalia Productions on various award-winning films.
Rotem was a part of the program selection team of the Docaviv Film Festival 2024.
