ER: Pets

Beit Dagan is the only veterinary teaching hospital in Israel. It operates a 24-hours emergency room, to which pets come from all over the country. This series follows five young veterinarians-in-training who are thrown into the deep and stormy waters of the emergency room, where they are asked to make impossible decisions in managing life-and-death situations, all under the scrutiny of the attending in charge. Unlike wildlife animal care, the animals treated in this emergency room are accompanied by their owners. These personal and close attachments, between the owners and their pets, make for an added challenge for the young veterinarians and require them to expand their care beyond mere medical aspects of training.
